You will work closely with Sales, Engineering & Project Management to meet proposal deadlines while managing multiple internal priorities. Assist Sales efforts (when required) in face-to-face meetings with consulting engineers and customers.
For this position, the expected salary range is between $105,000 - $115,000 annually. This range reflects our commitment to providing competitive compensation that aligns with industry standards and your qualifications.Job Description:
- Working with Finning Sales to develop creative, cost-effective technical solutions for projects while estimating costs and delivering within the allocated time frame.
- Analyze mechanical and electrical system operations and researching technical solutions to application problems
- Prepare reports including recommendations for cost effective solutions for operational deficiencies
- Evaluating suppliers and their products. Building strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Interacting with customers in Sales situation to help demonstrate Finning expertise and sell unique Finning solutions
- Creating project operating philosophy and project scope/exception documents
- Work with Project Management and Engineering to facilitate project handoff
- Reviewing lessons learned from completed projects in order to refine the estimating process for future opportunities.
- Review of CAT Application Engineering guidelines & bulletins and incorporating the same in the proposals.
- Develop project specific Engineering drawings
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 3 to 4 years’ experience in EPG applications
- Registration - or working towards registration as a Professional Engineer in BC or Alberta
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Strong communication, and relationship-building skills
- A proven team player with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people
- Strong technical skills
