Position Summary
SPOC Energy is seeking an Applications Specialist to support and optimize our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP environment. This individual will play a key role in our ERP implementation and long-term operational support by ensuring data integrity, validating business processes, supporting end users, and collaborating with departments across the organization.
This role bridges business operations and technology, working closely with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and IT to continually improve ERP functionality and business processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support daily operation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Troubleshoot ERP application issues and work with users to resolve functional problems.
- Assist with ERP implementation activities, testing, deployment, and user adoption.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, normalization, and ongoing maintenance.
- Validate master data including:
- Customers
- Vendors
- Inventory Items
- Bills of Material
- Routings
- Work Centers
- Pricing
- General Ledger mappings
- Identify duplicate, inconsistent, or inaccurate business data.
- Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing.
- Create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Train users on ERP functionality and business processes.
- Support workflow configuration and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with reporting, dashboards, and data analysis.
- Work with implementation partners to resolve application issues.
- Coordinate system changes through testing and change management procedures.
- Participate in future ERP enhancements and module rollouts.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years supporting ERP or enterprise business applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
- Strong understanding of ERP concepts including:
- Inventory
- Purchasing
- Manufacturing
- Sales
- Finance
- Experience performing data cleansing, migration, and validation.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong documentation and communication abilities.
- Ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
- High attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools.
- Manufacturing ERP experience.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or project management tools.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
