Job Summary:
In this role you are responsible for determining the cost and sales price for pump parts. You use your technical knowledge and insight for this. In this role you work together with various departments within Flowserve APAC or our other locations.
Responsibilities- Prepare quotes for seals and systems based on RFQs within the requested client timeframe.
- Interpret technical sheets, specifications, warranties, delivery times, and commercial conditions.
- Develop and maintain product standards, including price lists.
- Support the Sales Engineer in creating forecasts and achieving booking targets.
- Interact with manufacturing hubs (Kalamazoo, Dortmund, and Tlaxcala) for special orders and backlog information
- Review purchase order contracts, ensuring order entry in accordance with the Sales Approval Policy.
- Utilize corporate tools such as Flowforce, Trident Tool, Customer Connect, EIS, CRM, and autoSAP to support the quoting process.
- Conduct technical customer visits, when necessary, to strengthen relationships and application understanding.
- Responsible for clarifying incomplete or incorrect PO information with the customer.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge of products, applications, mechanical seals, and auxiliary systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical with 4-5 years of relevant experience , certificate course with more than 10+ years of strong Pump industry experience.
- Knowledge of API/ANSI/ISO Pump, auxiliary sealing systems and other accessories
- Previous industry experience in pumps, rotating equipment, or similar systems (preferred but flexible).
- Prior experience in positions such as: Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Engineer (design), Planning Engineer or Industrial Engineer with a Experience on rotating equipment.
