Applications Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

Experience in dealing with Thermal Applications within the Data Center Industry (preferred), refrigeration or similar. Our promise: we'll give you comprehensive training and support you every step of the way in our company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You’re the internal interface between sales, R&D, product development and production from the initial enquiry to acceptance by the customer and are also intensively involved in communication with our customers
• Providing comprehensive technical and commercial support in a timely and professional manner
• Utilize all tools available including sizing programs to correctly match the division’s products to meet or exceed the customer’s requirements.
• Actively participating in defining and evaluating target prices
• Analyzing the market development for our products and contribute to the further development of our markets
• Planning and following up visits to customers and trade shows  
• Maintaining quotation, customer, and order data in our CRM system
• Adhere to all quality requirements that are inside of the Quality Management system

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES 

• To ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, is incorporated into every product we produce. 

• Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Vision and Values, Operational Framework.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Engineering background or equivalent education, with proven experience in technical roles (Some examples: Field / Service / Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager, Product Manager, Application Engineer)
• Fundamental thermo-dynamic knowledge
• Fluent English language skills
• Good knowledge of ERP and CRM systems and the MS Office suite
• Distinct customer orientation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills 
• Very distinctive persuasive power and negotiation skills 
• Distinct problem-solving skills
• Systematic way of working
• High degree of flexibility and resiliency
• Valid driver’s license
• Readiness for extensive travel

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience of working in an engineering field.
• Advanced knowledge of heat transfer technology.
• Knowledge of selection/sizing programs.
• White space cooling and heat rejection of Datacenters a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of computer technology and programs.
• Advanced communicative skills required.

This position requires _Up to 30% with some international travel.
