Position Summary:

This role is responsible for providing techno-commercial quotes for auxiliary systems by coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, working in tandem with regional Com Ops team on strategic projects from quote till order and responsible for clean order hand-off to engineering. The application engineer is also expected to be capable of making technical and commercial decisions as appropriate in coordination with regional Com Ops team, sales and Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge on Flowserve seal and auxiliary products and pumps

  • Capability to review project specifications, pump data sheets, vendor documents, Inspection and testing requirements etc. and timely submission of techno-commercial offer for auxiliary systems at market level pricing in response to RFQ's

  • Very good knowledge on commercial terms, delivery, warranty terms and clear understanding of Transfer Pricing 2.0 policy to increase FLS spent on seals and systems

  • Actively participate in technical bid evaluation (TBE) meetings with EPC and provide appropriate technical and commercial solutions to secure the project

  • Liaison with cross functional teams, Operations and sub-suppliers and other departments as needed to ensure technical compliance of system quotes

  • Track record of leading global projects and maintaining project master list to support technical and commercial decisions

  • Manage and monitor large project proposal throughout the entire bid cycle and participate in strategic discussions including other stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge in review purchase order and ensure compliance and transfer project files to order fulfilment, organize order hand-off calls with respective stakeholders

  • Effectively utilize the various tools including, but not limited to: FAEP, Flowforce and others

  • Ability to work in an extended flexible schedule under deadline pressures

  • Keeping perfect and effective communication channel with all the team internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferably in Mechanical / Instrumentation engineering.

  • Should have worked for minimum of 5+ years in the similar industry/role.

  • Experience in Com Ops function would be an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical Seals & Auxiliary systems / Rotating equipment

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with track record of managing large projects

  • Continuous improvement mindset and high degree of comfort with quoting tools and related technologies

  • Knowledge of rotating equipment (particularly seals/pumps) is strongly recommended;

  • Successful completion of Flowserve trainings – Seals & Pump fundamentals, Flowserve Application Engineering program (FAEP)

Skills Required
