Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Good understanding of principal power architectures such as Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, and related process and package technology, trade-off between system/design constrains, power/thermal analysis
- Responsible for evaluating power management devices in handheld power applications, writing application notes, and giving technical support to FAEs and customers.
- Understand basic knowledge of measurement tools and method for analog circuit characterization, Efficiency, Gain-phase stability, transient response etc.
- Prior experience in designing evaluation boards and bench validation/automation test setup
- 3+ yrs experience in analog electronics experience working for a team for application support and/or designing power supply system.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience on circuit testing and trouble shooting in lab environment. Extensive customer design-in support experience with power management product is preferred.
- Basic Microcontroller experience, understanding microcontroller architectures, state machines and basic C coding skillset.
- Battery management, basic understanding of battery charging/discharging and basic principles considered as a plus
- Work closely with product definers, design, business management, and customers throughout the product evaluation and optimization
- Provide technical support to key customers and field engineers
- Write application notes, user guides, articles, design ideas, datasheet manuscripts for internal/external publication Research competitive solutions and devise better ones
- Support new product development and key customers. Participate in board-level design reviews with internal engineering team and prepare evaluation kits.
- Good communication skills, able to explain system concepts and detailed technical requirements (writing and/or verbally) to internal teams and customers.
- Self-motivated, creative and results-oriented.
- Prior experience in PMIC and the end product power requirements, preferred for either IoT/Industrial or Automotive applications.
- BS or higher degree in electronic engineering or related discipline
