Applications Engineer (m/f/t)

For our manufacturing locations  in Dortmund (Germany) or Etten Leur (Netherlands)  which are specialized in the development, production and global distribution of customer-specific sealing solutions in the area of wet, gas and liquid-lubricated mechanical seals for pumps , mixers, compressors, turbines, agitators, etc., we are looking for an Application Engineer (m/f/t).

Applications Engineer supports current and potential customers understand, compare and contrast the solutions that are available for the products needed to address their business challenges.

Applications Engineering role advises customers on how best to use the products or services provided. They also collaborate with other engineers from Manufacturing, Product, or Research and Development to determine how existing products and services could be developed or modified to suit customer’s needs.

Your tasks:

• Timely preparation of technical and commercial offers for seals and sealing systems. (wet, gas and liquid-lubricated mechanical seals for pumps , mixers, compressors, turbines, agitators, etc )

• Understands and properly interprets customer requirements.

• Applies established global and local Flowserve standards for pricing and quoting solutions

• Identifies correct Flowserve solution to fulfill customer requirements for standard products

• Provides assistance/support to manufacturing group

• Contact person for technical and commercial customer inquiries

• Ensuring technical and marketing support for Customers and sales team.

• Checking the offer for price as well as delivery and payment conditions.

• Technical follow-up with customers, suppliers, and internal cross functional parties

• Support in the development and maintenance of sales tools including reference lists, status updates, installation lists, data analysis

• Supporting purchasing in determining the price of purchased components

• Participation in exciting and challenging interdisciplinary projects of the site Participation in scheduled training courses.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree or equivalent and/or 2 years related experience

• Knowledge in the field of rotating equipment, thermodynamics and sales and project management is an advantage.

• Hands-on mentality when solving technical problems.

• Full proficiency in the German and English

• Good knowledge of MS Office programs, as well as SAP & CRM tools

• High level of commitment and flexibility, as well as excellent communication skills and enthusiasm

• Customer oriented action.
