KLa Systems, an Integrated Water Services company, designs and delivers innovative jet aeration and mixing systems for industrial and municipal customers around the world. As an Applications Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, sales, and manufacturing—helping turn complex water challenges into real-world solutions used in over 38 countries.
What You’ll Do
- Develop engineering designs and integrate them into professional sales proposal packages
- Create and review CAD drawings for proposals, submittals, fabrication, and IOM manuals
- Review project documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency
- Support fabrication, shipment coordination, and global manufacturing partners
- Conduct site visits, installations, equipment startups, inspections, and customer training
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with support from the engineering team
- Document site activities and findings in clear, concise reports
- Help improve workflows and streamline repeatable engineering tasks
Occasional domestic and international travel required.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering field (preferred)
- Experience in wastewater aeration, fluid dynamics, and system integration
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong software skills (Excel, Word; AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks)
- Mechanical aptitude with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
- Familiarity with pumps, blowers, or process equipment is a plus (training provided)

Base Salary: $100,000 - $150,000
*The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
