Job Summary & Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support Semiconductor activities in the region. The applications engineer will work closely with customers to provide high quality Applications support including recipe creation for the process control, leading customers through troubleshooting-to-problem resolution, on-site product installations and support, and training customer and other employees, etc. The job will also need the candidate to communication with headquarters to align on customized solutions and business goals.
- Recipe creation of Dragonfly system
- Customer support on site or by on the phone
- Coordinate and collaborate cross-departmentally to deliver the best Apps solutions.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert on Onto Innovation’s products
- Support customer applications development activities that require full understanding of the system set-up, inspection of customer’s product, confirmation of optimal and accurate results, and presentation of results
- Work closely with internal and external customers to understand their requirements and challenges and ensure that Onto Innovation's systems are configured and utilized optimally
- Provide support and applications training to customers as well as various internal functional groups to ensure systems are being used effectively
- Interface with technical support, head quarter engineering on procedures and equipment enhancement
- Potential candidate is required to be based in Singapore and may require to travel overseas support.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree, M.S. degree, or above in science, engineering, optics, physics or equivalent experiences is required
- 2~3 years or more of prior experiences with optics, mechanical, electrical systems, or semiconductor equipment are preferred
- Semiconductor wafer Fab and wafer inspection experiences preferred
- Proficiency in MS office tools
- Strong analytical stills. Ability to gather and analyse data and then create clear reports and presentations
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Effective time management: Adherence to schedule and prioritization.
- Ownership. Minimal supervision required, stays on top assignments.
- Strong drive for skills continuous improvement
- Excellent team player, be able to team up with all departments and/or individuals. Able to guide/mentor other team members on best maintenance practices, toolset expertise, etc.
- Relevant skillsets for 2D pattern comparison and 3D measurement on specific applications for Dragonfly and ADC deep learning is preferred
