Supports the core functions of Eisenhower business applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. Implements, administers, and supports assigned business systems under the guidance of senior members of the team. Has a thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations. Addresses issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization. Coordinates application support with other information technology teams including System Administrators, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the Help Desk. Implements changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department's policies and procedures. Provides solutions to work orders, trouble tickets and projects for assigned departments.Job Description:

Licensure/Certification:
Required: Relevant Epic certification(s) required for those positions supporting an Epic application; must complete relevant Epic certification(s) within 12 months of hire or 12 months from transferring into position
Experience:
Required: Two (2) years in healthcare or information systems related positions

1.Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
2.Acts as a liaison between assigned departments, clinical end users and I.S. technical personnel.
3.Assists in the coordination and maintenance of all current systems for assigned departments.
4.Support the departments and staff during, and post implementation, of assigned applications/systems.
5.Provides at the elbow support for providers and end users as needed during and after clinical system upgrades.
6.Analyzes current systems and processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care, provider productivity, financial outcomes and ancillary relations or cost savings.
7.Identify and assist with planning for, and developing, department-specific requirements for future product acquisitions.
8.Performs written and oral project status reporting on a regular basis as requested.
9.Communicates with IS staff members, vendors and users, and facilitates communication between these groups to identify system needs, modifications, and/or issues. Works with these groups to reach resolution of issues, define necessary modifications and develop solutions.
10.Analyzes user-requested programming changes, documents requests, facilitates communication between users and IS staff.
11.Works with vendors to determine, review and document acceptance of system changes. Facilitates communications between IS personnel and vendor representatives.
12.Provides technical assistance and support to expert users.
13.Follows Project Management Office (PMO) guidelines on all projects.
14.Assures that all necessary documentation (i.e. procedures, processes) is properly completed.
15.Troubleshoots issues and document for vendor resolution.
16.Update all service requests on a monthly basis and communicate updates to the requestor on a monthly basis.
17.Ensures that email and voice mail indicate unavailability with alternative contact when out of office.
18.Assume administrative tasks to support management as requested.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Relevant Epic certification(s) (must complete within 12 months if supporting Epic)
- Two (2) years experience in healthcare or information systems related positions
- Experience working in an acute healthcare setting or vendor setting
- Experience with assigned healthcare applications
- PC computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet browsers, email)
- Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, training, organization, and team-building skills
- Previous systems analyst or vendor experience
