We are presenting an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Applications Administrator II (QA)). In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to uphold quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Knowledge of GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, healthcare, life sciences, and/ or medical devices domains is an added plus. Familiarity with MedDRA, WHO DD, or SnowMed is also beneficial.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
- 2–4 years of experience in Validation management and/or quality assurance, including hands-on involvement in test execution, defect tracking, and supporting QA environments.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Formulate and carry out manual and automated test scripts to confirm software functionality and performance.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using appropriate tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, results, and reports.
- Design test scripts to cover all test scenarios to ensure data integrity and product quality.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle and methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, integration testing).
- Competence in the application of test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or related substitutes.
- Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Must Have Skills:
- Capability in manual and automated testing.
- Knowledge of test automation tools (for example, Selenium, JUnit).
- Proficiency in managing defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Understanding of Agile or DevOps workflows.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Good to Have Skills:
- Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Experience with performance or security testing tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration testing.
- Knowledge of industry-standard QA metrics and reporting practices.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11.
- Understanding of the healthcare, life sciences, and medical devices domains.
- Familiarity with MedDRA, WHO DD, or SnowMed.
Working Hours:
India: 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST
Philippines: 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PST
