This is a customer-facing and supplier-facing technical role responsible for supporting the development and manufacturing feasibility of plastic, metal, and structural components for next-generation products. This position bridges customer requirements, product concepts, and real manufacturing capability, supported by Minth’s North America plants and global engineering resources.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate technical and manufacturing feasibility of plastic, metal, and structural parts and components for robotics, AI cooling, power/energy, and other next-generation applications
Support product design, material selection, process selection, design-for-manufacturing, and engineering trade-off discussions
Work directly with customers and suppliers to understand technical requirements, diagnose problems, and develop practical engineering solutions
Identify technical and manufacturing risks early and communicate clearly to internal teams and customers
Participate in customer technical discussions, RFIs, and RFQs
Support early project nomination activities through technical clarification and feasibility presentations
Work with sales and strategy teams as the technical interface for new product and manufacturing opportunities
Translate customer requirements into clear actions for Minth’s internal product, engineering, and manufacturing teams
Recognize where Minth’s existing engineering and manufacturing capabilities can solve a customer problem or create a new business opportunity
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
3+ years of hands-on engineering experience in product design, manufacturing, process engineering, application engineering, or a closely related function
Experience working with manufactured hardware products, ideally involving plastic, metal, structural, or mechanical components
Strong understanding of how products are designed, manufactured, and brought into production
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in customer and internal settings
Ability to learn new products, processes, and applications quickly rather than being limited to one specific component or end market
Preferred (Not Required)
Injection molding or tooling experience
Familiarity with automotive or industrial plastic materials (PA, PBT, PP, PC, ABS, etc.)
Experience supporting RFQs or customer engineering discussions
Experience working directly with customers and/or suppliers in a technical capacity
Experience with product design, DFM, process engineering, manufacturing launch, or production problem-solving
Skills Required
