About the Role
Our applications are the external face of Intrum. Our client portals, supports more than 700,000 clients across our markets and our customer portal, handles over 3 million logins annually, a number that continues to grow. As we strategically shift towards self-service, strengthening our support function is a critical step in improving service delivery and ensuring a seamless experience for our stakeholders.
You will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and shaping the future of our support processes. This is not just about following existing procedures - it's about helping us design and develop new ways to monitor, resolve, and prevent issues.
What you will do
- Act as support engineer for incidents and service requests across multiple applications and systems
- Incident management; address and resolve incidents promptly, ensuring minimal disruption in addition to keeping stakeholders aware about the status
- Work with monitoring and log collection tools to resolve and mitigate system errors (Zabbix, Grafana, Graylog, Sentry, updown)
- Perform configuration changes using control panels, Git, and other management interfaces.
- Perform data operations using SQL (e.g. cleansing, restore)
- Escalate and forward tickets to relevant suppliers or internal teams when issues cannot be resolved at your level
- Collaborate with business teams to resolve issues independently and improve documentation for future efficiency
- Contribute to building new monitoring and alerting capabilities—for example, when an error is discovered that isn’t currently captured, you’ll help design and implement the solution.
What we expect
- Experience in application/system administration
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Service Now
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Curiosity and a willingness to constantly improve and learn
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
It’s a plus if you have
- Basic programming skills (Python, Java) for automation and scripting
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Graylog) and alerting systems
- Understanding of modern infrastructure in on-premises and/or Azure environments, including networking, server administration, containerization, and firewall management
