SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Application Support Analyst – Treasury Systems is
responsible for providing functional and technical support for Treasury
applications used by the bank, including Money Market, Forex, Securities,
Liquidity Management, and Risk Management systems. The role ensures smooth
day-to-day operations, issue resolution, system stability, and support for
business users in Treasury and Finance departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities
1. Application
Support:
• Provide L1 / L2 support for
Treasury applications.
• Monitor daily Treasury
system activities and ensure successful processing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve
production issues within defined SLA.
• Coordinate with vendors for
vendor L3 support and bug fixes.
• Perform impact analysis
before applying fixes or changes.
2. Functional
Support
· Support Treasury modules
such as:
· Money Market
· FX / Derivatives
· Securities / Bonds / Sukuk
· Liquidity Management
· Risk & Limit Management
· SWIFT / Payment interfaces
· GL / Core Banking
integration
· Ensure EOD / BOD / Batch
jobs run successfully.
3. Incident /
Problem Management
• Log and track incidents in
ticketing system
• Perform root cause analysis
for recurring issues
• Ensure timely resolution as
per SLA
• Prepare incident reports
for critical issues
4. Change
& Release Management
• Support application
deployments and patches.
• Coordinate testing for
system upgrades / regulatory changes.
• Maintain release
documentation.
5. User
Support & Training
• Provide functional support
to Treasury Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office users.
• Assist users in transaction
issues, deal booking, settlements, and reporting.
• Support parameter changes,
static data updates, and limit setup.
6. Interfaces
& Integration Support
• Support interfaces between
Treasury and:
· Core Banking
· SWIFT
· RTGS / Payment systems
· Market data feeds (Reuters
/ Bloomberg)
· GL / Finance systems
• Monitor interface jobs and
resolve failures.
7. Vendor
Coordination
• Coordinate with application
vendors for bug fixes and enhancements.
• Track open issues and
follow up for resolution.
• Validate vendor patches
before production deployment.
Requirements
- Omani
National
- Bachelor’s
degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
ITSM Certificate is preferred
- 8
years in Banking Application Support
- Minimum
4 years in Treasury system support, preferable on FIS – Quantum
Application
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 8 years in Banking Application Support
- Minimum 4 years in Treasury system support, preferable on FIS - Quantum Application
- ITSM Certificate
