The Impact you will have in this role:
Enterprise Application Support (EAS) provides centralized application and infrastructure support for all critical business applications and infrastructure support.
The Application Support Engineer role will be responsible for providing technical support of all the application. The role will be executing all aspects of the operating procedures/run books within a predefined shift pattern. This role is expected to work closely with the required development teams, our Enterprise Infrastructure partners and our internal business clients to resolve and escalate technical support incidents where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- An Application Support Engineer, partnering with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to support production applications and ensure service stability.
- Participate in the resolution of production incidents, providing impact analysis, troubleshooting support, and timely communication.
- Support incident, problem, and major incident management activities, working with senior engineers and stakeholders through resolution.
- Monitor applications and proactively identify issues that may impact system availability or performance.
- Review and maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and operational documentation to ensure production readiness and consistency.
- Support change, release, and deployment activities, including production code releases and vendor application upgrades.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery testing and operational resilience activities, including documentation and evidence collection.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Follow established risk, control, and operational procedures, escalating issues appropriately.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent support coverage and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

- Understanding of application support principles, production monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in Linux and Windows environments, including log analysis and scripting skills
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to execute queries for analysis and tuning activities.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.
- Familiarity with job scheduling and modern application platforms such as AutoSys, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or cloud-hosted environments.
- Basic understanding of security fundamentals, including certificate management and credential handling.
- Exposure to capital markets and financial services is preferred.
