Summary:
Experienced IBM AS/400 Administration professional with 6+ years of expertise in AS/400 system operations, administration, monitoring, backup management, security administration, disaster recovery, and system maintenance. Skilled in managing IBM i (OS/400) environments, handling migrations, OS upgrades, replication technologies, backup and recovery solutions, and providing production support in 24x7 environments. Strong experience in customer interaction, troubleshooting, incident management, and driving operational excellence while ensuring high system availability and performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application.
- Liaising with the customer technical representatives.
- Implement the changes as applicable, test the changes and handover to customer.
- Troubleshoot issues with OS/Backup.

- Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision.
- Must have 6+ years of AS/400 system Operations/Administrator experience.

- Restoration and BRMS, Tape management.
- Knowledge on replication software.
- Independently work with vendors on HW/SW issue.
- Analyze disk space utilization and recommend corrective action.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis RCA.
- Participate in Disaster recovery process.
- Team management and Customer facing.
- Good knowledge on ITIL concepts (Incident, problem & change management skills)
