Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for enterprise data loading and data processing applications built primarily on Microsoft .NET and legacy technologies. The role focuses on ensuring production stability, resolving incidents, supporting SQL Server-based data operations, and delivering application enhancements to meet business and operational requirements. A key aspect of the position is supporting Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, SQL Agent jobs, and batch data processing workflows while driving operational excellence and system reliability.

Job Responsibilities 

1. Provide L2/L3 production support for data loading, data processing, and reporting applications.
2. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents impacting application availability, data integrity, and business operations.
3. Support, maintain, and enhance applications developed using .NET technologies and legacy platforms.
4. Develop, modify, debug, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and T-SQL scripts.
5. Monitor and support SQL Server Agent Jobs, batch processing schedules, and automated data loading processes.
6. Investigate failed SQL jobs, data load exceptions, and application errors, ensuring timely resolution within SLA commitments.
7. Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent corrective actions to improve system stability.
8. Review execution plans and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve performance and processing efficiency.
9. Support application releases, deployments, and post-implementation validation activities.
10. Work closely with business users, support teams, and developers to resolve production issues and implement enhancements.
11. Validate data loads and troubleshoot data discrepancies across multiple systems and databases.
12. Prepare and maintain support documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.
13. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to reduce manual effort and recurring incidents.

Requirements Must have:

1. 3-7 years of experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
2. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including:
   • Stored Procedures
   • T-SQL Development
   • Functions and Views
   • Query Optimization
   • Performance Tuning
   • SQL Agent Jobs
   • Database Troubleshooting
3. Hands-on experience supporting data loading, ETL, data integration, or batch processing applications.
4. Experience providing L2/L3 production support and incident management.
5. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application and database layers.
6. Experience supporting applications developed in .NET (C#) and legacy environments.
7. Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and problem management activities.
8. Experience investigating job failures, data processing issues, and application performance bottlenecks.
9. Strong understanding of application maintenance, defect resolution, and enhancement delivery.
10. Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have:

1. Knowledge of the FMCG business domain
2. Knowledge of data warehousing and data pipeline concepts.
3. Experience in Python
