The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking an experienced Application Suite Technical Lead in a key role to lead a team of applications developers, designers and task leads for a critical Intelligence Community customer. This crucial role involves leading a team to design and develop a new, comprehensive microservice-based application suite for the customer. The suite of applications will be an integrated end-to-end system, providing analytic production planning, authoring, analytic review workflow, and product storage. The ideal candidate is technically proficient across both front-end and back-end development and is keen on fostering collaboration between teams to achieve integrated and innovative solutions. Work with a diverse team of technical staff to modernize and expand customer’s capabilities to the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. This key personnel role demands leadership and a hands-on approach to researching, developing, deploying, and achieving government authority to operate (ATO) a platform that is critical to the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the warfighter. This Key Personnel opportunity is in anticipation of an upcoming contract award!
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and mentor a team of application developers, designers and task leaders conducting technical and industrial research to identify advantageous approaches to replace customer’s current applications.
- Collaborate with government leads and stakeholders, as well as other contract technical leads, to define project requirements, goals, and timelines.
- Ensure the developed capabilities are compatible with the network operating environment and architecture and implement customer-directed security measures.
- Ensure the system prioritizes availability, reliability, and scalability, as the system is expanded to a larger customer base.
- Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces employing modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Extensible Markup Language (XML), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).
- Use back-end technologies such as Oracle, Postgres, Mongo Database, Redis, ElasticSearch, Solr, Structured Query Language (SQL), Node.js with Typescript, and Server-Side Languages (Java, etc.) to develop a secure, efficient, and reliable architecture.
- Submit, process, and track visualizations, graphics, and other multimedia content for online publications of HTML and PDF products.
- Ensure system compatibility with all integrated dissemination applications.
- Implement best practices for software development, including Agile methodologies, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Monitor project progress, address any technical challenges, adjust priorities as needed to meet milestones, and provide regular updates to government and contract program managers.
What does Leidos need from me?
- Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- BS in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent experience with 10 plus years in software development, technology management, software engineering or a related field; or eight plus years of experience with master’s degree.
- Experience with front-end technologies/frameworks (e.g, Angular, React), to include HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Object Notation.
- Experience with backend development using Node.js, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with database design and development (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), and familiarity with search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr).
- Experience with content tracking, document state, and approval workflows at scale.
- Experience overseeing application development and presenting overview briefings and updates to government leads, partners, and customers; reporting on progress at performance improvement meetings; and identifying opportunities for increase effectiveness, efficiency, scale, and impact.
- Experience in the identification and mitigation of any issues or trends that pose a risk to project priorities.
Favorable if you have:
- Experience managing a software development team through a government ATO process.
- Experience developing unclassified software for configuration in a classified environment.

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
