The Position

Roche is among the leading companies in molecular diagnostics. 

We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated team player who will help continue our leadership within our diagnostic molecular portfolio in Denmark. This field-based, customer-facing role's primary function will be to actively pursue, expand, and establish Roche's growing sequencing and Digital PCR portfolio across clinical specialties throughout Denmark.

The position

As an Application Specialist at Roche Diagnostics, you will be a member of the Application Team, which is part of Roche's Commercial Chapter, and you will report to the Application Team Lead.

 

The Application Team consists of skilled, highly specialized, and professional colleagues who cover all types of clinical laboratory specialties in Denmark. As an Application Specialist, you will have the opportunity to provide top-level support and participate in internal and external projects, workshops, conferences, and the like.

Your main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Roche Customer Support Center to provide best-in-class application support.

  • Initiate and drive sales-related customer visits to promote Roche’s sequencing-related product portfolio throughout Denmark.

  • Plan and conduct training sessions at customer sites and deliver product presentations.

  • Engage in complex sales projects, responding to questions related to tenders and ensuring comprehensive support.

  • Establish and maintain good customer relationships with a strong emphasis on patient-focused service.

  • Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and prospects for growing Roche's market presence.

  • Prospect for sales opportunities, assisting in creating and implementing commercial strategies to achieve growth in Roche's sequencing, Digital PCR and molecular business in general.

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to transition leads and support sales efforts, ensuring alignment from offer through to price negotiation without leading or closing the sales process.

  • Use strong commercial skills to support the development and progression of sales opportunities.

  • Focus on customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Hold a relevant education such as a laboratory technician, biomedical analyst, MSc, PhD, or similar.

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS).

  • Knowledge of automated DNA/RNA purification, Digital PCR, and KAPA products is advantageous.

  • Demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the ability to troubleshoot systems.

  • Proactive in engaging with customers and identifying new business opportunities.

  • Initiative-taking, courageous, and driven by making a difference.

  • Demonstrate excellent customer focus, very strong commercial drive, and collaboration abilities.

  • Team-oriented, capable of working independently, and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

  • Proficient in Danish and English with strong communication skills.

  • Holder of a category B driver's license and willingness to travel domestically.
    Additional information: Considerable travel activity is expected in connection with training at the beginning of your employment.
