Job Description
As part of the Applicant Development Team (ADT), you are responsible for the functional behavior of the boiler. The control units are used in the development of new appliances for our colleagues at the various Bosch Home Comfort locations. In your role as Application Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of new functions that contribute to the comfort and efficiency improvement of heating appliances for homes and buildings.
You also take care of the implementation and testing of the necessary functions and algorithms in software (as much as possible via the automatic test environment) and you provide the corresponding documentation. You take into account the modification of the software by internal customers by means of parameters, so that it can be adapted to the wishes and characteristics of a specific boiler implementation.
• Developing control software based on product and process requirements.
• Discussing and defining concepts with both internal and external developers.
• Designing, documenting and implementing software including (unit) tests based on defined architecture.
• Implementing new features especially in Simulink, C++ and DSL.
• Having knowledge and experience with software development tooling and build streets.
• Collaborating with other Bosch HC departments worldwide to get specifications and software to the desired level.
• Setting up and maintaining documentation.
• Supporting the department to continuously improve software development processes and methods.
Qualifications
• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering (EE), Software Engineering or Computer Science (CS) or related study with at least 3 years of relevant work experience or similar level;
• Experience implementing functions in C/C++ and algorithm development;
• Experience with C++, Python and Simulink is a must;
• Knowledge of the latest software development techniques and methods;
• Practical knowledge with debugging and testing of software;
• Analytically strong, proactive, dynamic attitude and hands-on mentality;
• Experience with Agile development is a plus;
• Communication skills, both oral and written, in the English language.
