Job Description

Remote Monitoring and Application - this is a group of experienced engineers who are responsible for remote monitoring of automation devices, and production processes and support customer's applications (remote maintenance).

The main tasks include reducing the number of unplanned outages in production, and their duration and increase in productivity on the customer side. The group provides technical support 24/7/365 and provides services, among others, for the following industries: paper, transport, mining, food and beverage, metal, and pharmaceutical.

You will report to the local Supervisor - Remote Support and have a hybrid schedule (work from home 2 days per week). The localization is in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers and engineers, technicians, and product specialists who solve technical problems arising from customers.
  • Monitor the emerging alerts on the client side and take appropriate actions to eliminate them.
  • Report latest design errors and problems related to maintenance to the engineering group.
  • Possible involvement in developing applications, testing, and installing them at the customer's site, and conducting training.
  • Possible participation in the implementation and commissioning of the contracted installations.
  • Broaden knowledge and perfect specialist skills.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Willingness to shift work, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts.
  • Technical education (preferred fields: automation, power electronics, electrical mechatronics, or related).
  • Competence in programming, diagnosing, and configuring the PLC controllers.
  • Knowledge of drive technology.
  • Proficiency in configuring and diagnosing frequency converters (inverters), underpinned by an understanding of their theoretical principles, operation, and design
  • Knowledge of AC induction motors, and DC motors.
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley products.
  • Knowledge of industrial sensors.
  • Very good command of English.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in the industrial automation industry, including technical support, solving customer problems, and designing automation systems.
  • Experience acquired during the commission.
  • Familiarity with servo drives.
