Summary of the role

The main task of the Application Sales Specialist is to generate sustainable, predictable revenue growth using Nordson EFD’s product portfolio to either serve a specific customer need and/or create the need based on Nordson’ extensive application knowledge on the given Area.
Role and Responsibilities
- Sales of Nordson EFD systems product portfolio with technical support to related customers and market development
- Solution-based selling capabilities, from developing customer needs to project follow-up and delivery, installations support and customer training
- Working closely with the Sales Team Leader Italy, prepare system application Offers and Quotes, records, maintain data and trace them properly in C4C CRM system
- Promote very actively Nordson EFD brand name, complete product portfolio and application solutions on the given area in order to achieve yearly revenue growth
- Maintain customer relationship throughout the life of the project(s) to ensure timely delivery, on budget and on specification and identify, research and contact Top growth prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business;
- Report sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization;
- Establish monthly sales plans and sales forecasts to discuss with the Sales Team Leader Italy, prioritize and schedule own activities to meet the set targets and goals
- Provides regular support in all Sales-growth related actions of the company such as Sales Campaigns, Roadshows, Customer events and Trade Shows in the region of Italy
- Using for local trials and demonstrations all tailgate and demo products received from the company, being able to present them independently in front of customers on a the level required by the company.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proper Education enabling to perform the job complexly (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Automotive, Material Science or Engineering, General Technical Education, Sales, Marketing or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years recent field and phone sales experience in a business to business, preferably capital sales equipment
- Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent Italian, very good level of English both written and spoken, additional languages are asset;
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills, able to deal with technical queries and applications and to set & perform long-term actions;
- Able to manage work independently and oriented on results;
- Flexible in working actions and time management, willingness to travel;
- Knowledge of the given Area language, industry, economical possibilities and trends.
Travel
- Frequent travel will be required across Italy with occasional travel to other countries within Europe.
