Are you an engineer looking to take the first step from the shop floor into a customer-facing technical support position?
As part of a strong existing field-based application sales team, this role will focus on technical and sales support to customers based in Ireland & Northern Ireland, working in close collaboration with the Technical Sales Engineer and Key Account Manager teams.
For the right candidate with a solid foundation in CNC metal cutting, we can offer specialist product knowledge training to develop a successful career in cutting tools application sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Demand orientated technical advice and customer support.
Planning and implementation of regular customer visits and contact.
Successful identification of customer needs to sell and advise the right tools and solutions.
Work alongside the Technical Sales Engineer to develop and grow the defined business area.
Responsibility for the replenishment and management of Tool Service machines at designated customer sites.
Process optimisation of production at target customers on site.
Technical consulting for projects in cooperation with the Technical Sales Engineer and Projects Team.
The presentation of new tools and customer cutting trials in conjunction with the Sales and Projects Team.
Management of customer queries to a satisfactory conclusion.
Observation of the market and competitor trends in respect of product range and pricing.
Professional presentation of the Company and product portfolio.
Successful completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship, with a bias towards CNC machining.
Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship experience in CNC machining / metal cutting is essential.
Located in provinces Ulster, Leinster or Connaught.
A full driving licence – role involves frequent daily travel.
High levels of tenacity, drive and motivation.
Ability and confidence to work autonomously.
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
A flexibility to meet customer and business needs.
No previous sales experience is required.
Competitive basic salary of €64,464 per annum, plus commission/bonus structure.
