Application Programmer/Developer

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Office of Technology invites applications for the position of Application Programmer/Developer. The Application Programmer/Developer is involved in the development of Workday integrations and reports, and Web application projects solutions. The Application Programmer/ Developer will be responsible for supporting the existing and developing new applications, reports, integrations. The position focuses on the Quality Assurance model, which encompasses the entire software development process, including but not limited to: requirements definition, software design, coding, source code control, code reviews, change management, configuration management, testing, release management, true tier two end-user support, and product integration. The successful candidate will be expected to work on campus.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university by hire date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with developing or supporting information systems and/or web applications.
Experience with developing reports and/or integrations within Workday.
Experience with data formats such as XML and/or JSON.
Experience in data analysis, particularly in Excel.
Experience working in Higher Education.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
Knowledge of Workday Extend and Workday PRISM.
Experience with integrating third-party APIs.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Excellent communication skills
