The opportunity

As an Application Manager within the BST Grid Integration (GI) Application Delivery Team, you will be a key player in our daily operations, responsible for managing an R&D portfolio of critical business applications that support our Grid Integration initiatives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, the development and operations team, to ensure these applications are optimized, secure, and aligned with the strategic goals of the Grid Integration unit. Your focus on innovation and efficiency will drive business value and support a seamless user experience.
This position is based in Ludvika or Västerås, with the option to work in a hybrid setup. How you’ll make an impact
Own the lifecycle of key applications and tools supporting R&D — ensuring they remain secure, compliant, and state-of-the-art.
Collaborate globally with business application owners and teams to align solutions with both local and global strategic objectives.
Manage partnerships with development and operations teams, ensuring delivery meets business needs, requirements, and strategic goals.
Drive operational excellence by providing exceptional application support, minimizing disruptions to daily operations, and maintaining high levels of user satisfaction.
Innovate and optimize to continuously seek opportunities to streamline the application landscape, foster innovation, and maximize business value.
Your Background
Proven experience as an Application Manager, Project Manager, or similar role in a complex IT environment, preferably within the energy, utilities, or industrial sectors.
Ability to translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization and with external partners.
Experience in effectively managing relationships with development and operations teams.
Experience in Azure DevOps and ITSM tools (such as ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) is a plus but not a requirement.
Fluency in English is required; Swedish is highly desirable.
