Responsibilities

Responsible for Requirements Finalization, AGL, VDGS Design, Testing, FAT with customer, As Built Drawings.

Carrying out and coordinating all on-site AGL, VDGS installation, testing and commissioning activities and handover of AGL, VDGS systems.

Able to review project inputs and tender specifications and provide necessary guidance to project team.

Able to estimate AGL, VDGS bids by working along with P&E team.

Understand detailed and advanced application and configuration of AGL Control Monitoring System.

Carryout simulation and test for real jobs on test environment for AGL Control and Monitoring System

Support installation application software on customer location remotely, as & when required.

Support troubleshooting of application software remotely on customer locations, as & when required

Provide First level technical assistance against any software bugs encountered while installation, testing and commissioning at site.

Write scripts to atomize for desired output on text files. The scripts written should be of standard to run on global projects.

Preparation and participation for turnover meeting or project review meetings with technical queries and scope clarification and sending out meeting notes
Identifying potential issues, technical risks involved in projects and flagging them proactively to EM’s

Provide First level technical assistance against any hardware/software bugs encountered while installation, testing and commissioning at site.

Ensure defects are monitored and take Corrective Action/Preventive Action to meet quality standards

Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control and identifies risks / opportunities
Derive continuous improvement culture to achieve Quality, Cost and standardization
Ensure common methods, techniques, tools and products as agreed by the knowledge communities / Process Owner Group (POG) Leaders are being effectively applied and provide feedback for future improvement
Vendor Management for third party deliverables.
Prepare the RFI and email communications to customers.

Ensure participation in daily, weekly & monthly calls with Project Manager/ customers from branch office.
Monitor and ensure submission of weekly project status reports for all the projects to the Project Managers.

Collaborates with various stakeholders, including airport operations, air traffic control, and maintenance teams, to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations.
Good knowledge/expertise on ICAO-Annex 14 & FAA

Attend, prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.

Hands on various tools like AutoCAD/EPLAN for design works.
Ensuring the completion of engineering as per the project/regional requirement and processes to customer satisfaction.
Experienced in detailed panel design including selection of all panel components (for e.g., panel enclosures and accessories, terminal blocks, fuses, panel heaters, panel fans, panel light, filters, etc.)

Experienced in power supply sizing including circuit breaker selection.

PMP or equivalent project management certification (optional but advantageous).

Qualifications

Qualifications:  BE/BTech Computer Science

Experience & Skills:

An ideal candidate should have 5 to 6 years of work experience on writing of scripts (preferably perl), installation, testing and commissioning for AGL & CMS.

Understand detailed and advanced application and configuration of CMS/ASMGCS solution.  Experience working with Airfield Lighting CMS systems desired.

Networking (configuration of L2/L3 switches)

Thorough knowledge in the areas of application engineering, integration and hands on experience in handling Systems, networks and Software configuration.

Hands-on experience in implementation and administration on Servers, Application and Network devices

Working knowledge on CentOS/LINUX system & understanding complex scripts written in shell.

Experience working in live airport environments and understanding of airside safety protocols

3 to 5 years of work experience on CentOS/LINUX system and writing of shell scripts (understanding of Perl scripts) and also installation, testing and commissioning for AGL & CMS. 

Thorough knowledge in the areas of integration and hands on experience in handling Systems, networks and Software development.

Systems: 

Hands-on experience Configuration, implementation and administration on Servers, Application and Network devices, 

IT infrastructure design and architecture across multiple distributed computing technologies - including server Hardware, network 

Hands on experience on Microsoft Visio 

Strong Knowledge & Experience in Sun Solaris Platform. Good Understanding of trouble shooting & Solaris Commands. Strong experience in interfacing of external devices.

Network:

A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking 

Hands on experience in designing Topology,  implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc. 

Working knowledge on Cisco Switches and Cisco routers 

Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities 

Understanding of routing, switching, multipath in network 

Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems 

Software & Scripting:

Writing of simple perl scripts & understanding of complex scripts written in perl. 

Deep understanding knowledge on complex shell scripts written

Certifications in Linux would be a definite plus 

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Willingness to travel and work at project sites across regions
