Geometric Solutions is actively seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team! This position can be a hybrid position commuting to our Troy, MI office, or 100% remote for non-local candidates.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Managing Director of Geometric Solutions.
- Provide technical sales support, both pre-sales and post-sales.
- Create and present demos to customers, tailored to various functions.
- Develop and deliver technical training sessions.
- Construct proposals and estimate applicable hours for projects.
- Manage customer relationships by writing reports and communicating results, issues, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Siemens products such as NX, Teamcenter, Tecnomatix: Process Designer, Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, and VSA.
- Understanding and/or experience in the Design and Manufacturing process
- Experience in project management and customer support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of CAD/CAM
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Problem-solving experience in a manufacturing plant setting.
- Understanding of Discrete Event Simulation.
- Understanding of Robotic Systems and Automation.
