Our Drilling services applications engineering team provides industry-leading engineering and technical services that optimize the extraction, production, and processing of energy. We help a diverse range of customers across the value chain to reduce operating costs and improve productivity.
Partner with the best
Under direct supervision learns to read, analyze and design well plans, interprete drilling dynamics engineering modeling and understand logging-while-drilling and directional drilling tool(s) and services as assigned.
You will be responsible for:
- Learning under direct supervision in well design and applications engineering modelling as assigned.
- Must be able to read, analyse well schematics, design Bottom Hole Assemblies, conduct Torque & Drag analysis, Hydraulics modelling analysis, well engineering broomstick modelling and perform basic well planning and anti Collision monitoring.
- Performing all required responsibilities safely and as described in work instructions. Executes other related duties as assigned by the supervisors.
- Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
- Must complete all training and development programs required within Applications Engineer -1 Program and all local training and development programs.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Have general knowledge of basic engineering principles and good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Be able to become proficient in running basic logging-while-drilling jobs/services.
- Have the ability to work in a global matrix organization.
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Have exceptional organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Have the ability to travel (potential for travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, trainings, etc.).
- Comfortable presenting in front of an audience of experienced peers
