As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging is recruiting for an Application Engineer !

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Application Engineer will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our clients’ needs and our technical capabilities. This role involves providing technical support, designing and implementing solutions, and ensuring the optimal use of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities: Customer Interaction

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions that meet their business needs.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions to educate customers about the features and benefits of our products.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

Solution Design and Implementation

  • Analyze customer requirements and design technical solutions that align with their objectives and our product capabilities.

  • Work closely with the development team to communicate customer feedback and participate in the enhancement of our products.

  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including user guides, installation manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Perform system installations, configurations, and integrations as needed to ensure seamless deployment of our solutions.

Project Management and Collaboration

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and development, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer satisfaction.

  • Participate in internal meetings to provide updates on project status, customer feedback, and potential improvements.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance our offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an Applications Engineer or in a similar technical role.

  • Strong understanding of software and hardware systems, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python or similar programming languages.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and support deployments.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience with Teledyne products, including cameras, optics, and machine vision.

  • Familiarity with software tools specific to Teledyne products, including Astrocyte, Sherlock, and iNspect.
