TITLE: Application Engineer – Twin Screw
BUSINESS: Circor Industrial Pumps India & Exports
LOCATION: Thane, India
DIRECT REPORTING: Manager Technical Sales
POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
This position takes end-to-end responsibility from receiving inquiries through techno-commercial quote creation to handover for order processing. To achieve this, the application engineer collaborates cross-functionally with different external and internal functions and stakeholders. He or She acts as a trusted advisor to customers in all subjects regarding Pump and Application Engineering. In addition, continuous improvement and development of internal standards, processes and tools is part of this role.
Principal Activities
- Reviews and clarifies customer requirements and propose a solution based on the Circor product portfolio considering the technical and commercial framework
- Leads expert discussion on plant system configuration and design with the customer and gives advice in terms of technical parameters, system design, material selection, sealing technology, accessories, etc. considering technical and commercial aspects of proposed Circor solutions
- Details the preferred technical solution in cooperation with internal and external interfaces considering commercial aspects
- Elaborates complete technical and commercial quotation. Revises quotation based on feedback/modifications from customer during quote phase and order execution
- Supports field sales team and other sales channels in project negotiations, frame agreements and trade shows
- Supports regional teams with technical expertise for special pumps and applications
- Initiates and conducts trainings in pump and application technology
- Interaction with customers over phone, email and physical visit if necessary to understand application requirements
- Contributes to operational excellence within the organization through continuous improvement of processes, standard and tools
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Excellent English language skills
- Hands on experience of work in MS office programs, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Customer-oriented, Positive and Communicative Personality
Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent education and 3 plus years experience in Application engineering or Sales support and of complex and consultancy intensive products
- Technical experience in rotating equipment or fluid handling equipment would be ideal to have
