Summary
We are seeking a
passionate and skilled Application Engineer to act as the Technical Single
Point of Contact (SPOC) for Aerospace and Defence laboratories. The role
involves partnering closely with Defence customers, understanding their
simulation workflows and technical challenges, and coordinating ANSYS
capabilities and CADFEM expertise to deliver consistent, high-quality technical
engagement.
Key
Responsibilities:
· Serve
as the primary technical SPOC for assigned Aerospace & Defence accounts,
building long-term, trust-based relationships.
· Develop
a strong understanding of customer program goals, simulation workflows, and
infrastructure.
· Position
the ANSYS Multi-physics portfolio in alignment with defence requirements across
structures, fluids, electronics, and systems.
· Coordinate
technical engagements across presales, support, consulting, and training teams
to ensure a seamless customer experience.
· Lead
technical discussions, discovery sessions, and periodic reviews with customer
engineering teams.
· Ensure
timely follow-up, quality responses, and effective handling of technical
queries or escalations.
· Identify
opportunities for advanced simulation workflows, cross-physics coupling, and
expanded adoption within Aerospace and Defence laboratories.
Requirements
Desired
Candidate Profile:
· Master’s
in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics, or engineering related disciplines
· 4–8
YoE in application engineering, technical consulting, or simulation-driven
roles, preferably in defence, space or aerospace domains.
· Strong
working knowledge of engineering simulation workflows using ANSYS or equivalent
tools across one or more physics domains.
· Experience
engaging with large R&D organizations, government labs, or mission-driven
programs is highly desirable.
· Strong
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact
confidently with scientists, engineers, and program leads.
· Proven
ability to coordinate across multiple technical teams and manage parallel
engagements with high autonomy and ownership.
Skills Required
- Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline
- 4-8 years of experience in application engineering, technical consulting, or simulation-driven roles
- Strong working knowledge of engineering simulation workflows using ANSYS or equivalent tools
- Experience across one or more physics domains
- Experience engaging with large R&D organizations, government labs, or mission-driven programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with scientists, engineers, and program leads
- Ability to coordinate across multiple technical teams and manage parallel engagements autonomously
