We are looking for a new college graduate (NCG) Application Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.  This role will report to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence and based in San Jose, CA.  This is a fully on-site, in office role.

The Business Intelligence team enables data-driven decisions, drives in-house AI solutions for operations optimization, accurately tracking performances and financial data, identifying business insights, trends & patterns, and ensuring data integrity & single source of truth.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain performant and scalable full-stack applications
  • Build and improve visual tools for application development and data science that enable users to build an end-to-end AI application quickly
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Understand and implement security and data protection
  • Rapidly fix bugs, solve problems, and proactively strive to improve our products and technologies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of product management, developers, data scientists, data analysts, and system administrators

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Must graduate between May 2024 and August 2025

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience and understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and web application development
  • Proficiency with front-end languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, Vue, or Angular)
  • Proficiency with back-end languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java)
  • Familiarity with databases / datalakes (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cassandra, AWS RDS, Redshift, S3)
  • Experience with Git or other version control software
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, test-driven development, SQL and NoSQL databases, performance optimization tools, and AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS) for app deployment

Bloom Energy is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The total compensation for this position includes standard company benefits and is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience.

Salary Ranges:$82,000.00 - $118,000.00
