Platform Migration Engineer

We are looking for a talented Platform Migration Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to design and implement a robust migration tool that facilitates seamless data transfer between systems. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and possess strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Groovy, or JavaScript. Experience with RESTful APIs and familiarity with CPQ systems is essential.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, write efficient and maintainable code, and conduct thorough testing to ensure data integrity. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are crucial for success. You will also document the migration process and stay updated on industry trends to enhance the tool's functionality and performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven 3-5 years of experience in software development, particularly in building migration tools or similar applications
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Groovy or Javascript
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party system
• Familiarity with CPQ systems and their data structures
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Familiarity with UI/UX design would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement a robust migration tool to facilitate seamless data transfer between systems using APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements and specifications for the migration process
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to ensure the migration tool is reliable and scalable
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of the migration tool to ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process
• Document the migration process, including technical specifications, user guides, and best practices
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the migration tool
