OVERVIEW:
The Senior Application Engineer will oversee and carry out the daily coordination and execution of standard, general, and project business proposal generation. To thrive in this position, you should be highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of excelling in a dynamic team environment. As a member of the Application Engineering Team, you will collaborate closely with our Authorized Distribution Network and Internal KSB teams (Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, and Factories). Your role involves accurately managing quotes to meet deadlines, all while delivering industry-leading customer service and solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate and handle multiple General/Project/Replacement Business Quotations efficiently
- Have the capability to quote direct jobs and facilitate support to our KSB sister companies as needed
- Provide technical responses to KSB Representatives and offer guidance using KSB's Resource Center and HELPs selection software
- Conduct site visits with representatives or attend trade shows comfortably, when necessary
- Utilize KSB's tools to provide pump technical information such as datasheets, speed curves, parallel curves, drawings, etc
- Start with BT3 rights in KSB's Easy Select and KSBase selection platforms, demonstrating extensive product knowledge encompassing borehole and vertical turbine pumps
- Participate as a member of the Remote Applications Center team and may act as a product champion, showcasing expertise
- Be able to engage with vendors for procurement and manage existing quote updates for colleagues when they are unavailable, ensuring seamless project progress regardless of its current status
- Demonstrate proficiency in understanding and translating drawings and specifications
- Have the ability to train new employees and support global key accounts
- Remain updated on company offerings, tools, and systems
- Assist the AE Manager by providing routine reporting on key performance metrics
- Handle departmental filing and records management
- Perform other Application Engineering duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science with an Engineering focus and 5 to 7 years experience
- Sales Experience Valued
- Proficiency in CAD is highly desired
- Water or Wastewater market segment experience is preferred
- A Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferred
