POSITION TITLE: Application Development Manager
POSITION LOCATION: 353 N. Clark Street, Suite 2500, Chicago, IL 60654
SALARY RANGE: $148,949 - $159,500 per year
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for overseeing the development of internal applications and workday HCM & Finance areas that enhance business functionality. Will drive standards, processes and technology to ensure successful delivery of applications. Specific duties will include: responsible for creating, maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure coding standards are consistent and adhere to current industry standards; evaluate new technologies and tools; ensure that the company development platform is maintained and in line with industry best practices; scope projects and estimate resource requirements; review solutions/code and report issues, risks and opportunities to Senior Management when necessary; and lead development efforts of new applications as well as enhancements to existing applications. Telecommuting and remote working allowed.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related. Must have 5 years of experience in the job offered, Software Engineer or related. Must have experience with each of the following:
Create innovative technology applications and optimize existing systems utilizing C#, .NET, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, and SOAP. Utilized AWS Services and Python Lead project teams to revamp systems and databases, thereby enhancing the overall effectiveness of company technology. Execute and oversee projects involving the migration of content management and ERP systems, decommissioning outdated applications, and implementing technology upgrades. Possess expertise in developing Workday solutions to enhance Workday HCM and Finance systems, effectively supporting finance and HR teams in managing financial and HR data. Strong knowledge of HR and accounting concepts is essential, thereby leveraging those to develop complex integrations and reports
