Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance software solutions for key PLM applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and existing architecture standards.
- Translate business requirements into functional technical solutions through close collaboration with business design groups and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across application, data, and integration layers, including problems with non-obvious root causes.
- Perform incident management activities in alignment with ITIL practices, including issue resolution, root cause identification, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain, modify, and support sub-systems, integrations, and third-party components within the PLM ecosystem.
- Ensure data integrity, system stability, and application reliability through sound design, validation, and operational practices.
- Develop and execute unit testing to ensure high-quality, reliable, and defect-free software deliverables.
- Adhere to established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including coding standards, peer reviews, testing, and release processes.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to provide updates, escalate risks, and align on technical decisions.
- Seek guidance from senior engineers or architects when requirements are ambiguous or unfamiliar technical challenges arise.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including code documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.
- Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies and tools to improve development practices and application capabilities.
- Support production deployments, including participation in change windows and off-hours activities as required.
- Operate effectively within CEST time zone expectations while supporting global delivery models.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 6-9 years of experience developing and supporting enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience applying information technology solutions within a specific business domain.
- Experience working with one or more enterprise technology stacks, programming languages, or frameworks.
- Experience working within structured SDLC and delivery processes.
- Experience in application support, maintenance, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Experience using version control systems (GitHub, Git Desktop) and basic development tools.
