Design, develop, and lead enterprise Teamcenter PLM application development and integrations. Provide architecture, customizations (ITK/BMIDE), troubleshooting, technical leadership, mentoring, SDLC/DevOps delivery, and production support across application, integration, and data layers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise PLM applications within the Teamcenter ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business requirements and architecture standards.
  • Develop and maintain customizations using ITK, BMIDE, SOA/REST services, and UI frameworks to support business processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across application, integration, and data layers where root causes are not immediately obvious.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis and evaluate alternative design approaches to recommend optimal, balanced solutions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, other architects and IT teams to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions that align technical decisions with strategic goals.
  • Track progress against project plans, monitor outcomes, and adjust priorities to meet objectives within timelines and budget constraints.
  • Provide technical leadership for small to medium initiatives, including task planning, implementation oversight, and coordination of team efforts. Technically lead Workstream in the PLM platform.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers and team members, providing knowledge transfer on technologies, methodologies, and business processes.
  • Participate in and contribute to management presentations, technical reviews, and solution proposals.
  • Maintain, enhance, and support sub-systems, integrations, and third-party components associated with the PLM landscape.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and system stability through robust design, validation, and operational safeguards.
  • Develop and execute unit testing to ensure high-quality, defect-free deliverables aligned with development standards.
  • Adhere to established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including coding standards, reviews, testing, and release governance.
  • Engage with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to provide technical input, status updates, and risk identification.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development efficiency and platform capabilities.
  • Support production deployments, including participation in change windows and off-hours activities as required.
  • Operate effectively within CEST time zone expectations and support global delivery requirements when necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 10 years of development experience with Siemens Teamcenter, preferable experience with version 2412 or newer in enterprise production environments
  • Minimum 10 years of strong experience developing using Java or C++, ITK, BMIDE, Access/Security, and Teamcenter customization frameworks
  • Experience working with scripting and automation tools such as SQL, Batch scripting, or PowerShell
  • Experience developing web-based solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, React, Angular or similar technologies
  • Hands-on experience working within structured SDLC and Agile/DevOps delivery models
  • Experience integrating Teamcenter with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware solutions
  • Experience using version control systems such as GitHub, working with modern CI/CD and DevOps toolchains (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • Experience working in production support environments with incident and problem management responsibilities using ServiceNOW
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex, multi-tier, cross-platform enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of business process areas and their technical enablement across systems.
  • Experience working with multiple enterprise technology stacks, frameworks, and integration approaches.
  • Experience leading or contributing to medium-scale projects, including planning, execution, and delivery oversight.
  • Experience in documentation, system design specifications, and operational instruction development.
  • Exposure to cross-functional business processes and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with project planning tools, reporting, and delivery tracking mechanisms.
  • Experience defining enterprise architecture strategies or influencing long-term technology direction.
  • Experience with Teamcenter T4X integration implementations (T4S, T4EA, AGI, etc)
  • Experience building reports and analytics using Snowflake, Power BI, Excel VBA, or similar tools desired but not required
  • Familiarity with CAD/PLM integrations (CATIA V5, NX, or similar CAD engineering tools) desired but not required
  • Ability to design, evaluate, and evolve AWS‑based solutions/services/architectures, including cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC) desired but not required
  • Practical experience developing & implementing AI-assisted development tools including agents, MCPs, LLMs, RAG, etc (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, Claude, Cursor, CodeX, Gemini, Kiro, Cortex) desired but not required

    • Teamcenter application development Java / C++ programming (ITK, BMIDE, SOA/REST services)
    • SQL and database interaction (queries, data validation, troubleshooting)

    • Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON)
    • Teamcenter Application architecture design (multi-tier, distributed, cross-platform systems)
    • Enterprise system (PLM, ERP, MES, etc) integration and business process modeling
    • Programming concepts and development methodologies across multiple platforms
    • Data integrity, system reliability, and performance optimization principles
    • Teamcenter T4X integration implementations (T4S, T4EA, AGI, etc)
    • Snowflake, Power BI, Excel VBA, or similar tools desired but not required
    • AWS‑based solutions/services/architectures, including cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC) desired but not required
  • Solid understanding of Teamcenter data model, workflows, configuration, and integration concepts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug and problem-solve cross-layer issues spanning application, database, and integration components.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (business, infrastructure, architecture, QA).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, infrastructure, and supporting technology ecosystems.
  • Ability to evaluate multiple design alternatives and make balanced, data-driven decisions.
