This role partners closely with investment professionals and technology stakeholders to translate research and workflow needs into scalable, high-performing software solutions.

You’ll contribute across application development, data engineering (SQL/ETL), and platform enablement—delivering reliable tools that improve research efficiency, data quality, and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Application Development & Delivery

  • Coordinate with business and technology partners to manage dependencies, impacts, and readiness for rollout.

Data, SQL & ETL

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines to support accurate, timely, and high-quality data movement across platforms.

  • Follow best practices for database security, reliability, and performance tuning.

  • Work directly with investment teams to understand workflows, identify pain points, and deliver technological solutions that enhance user experience and outcomes.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.

What You’ll Bring:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in application development with hands-on SQL and either Python or .NET.

  • Working knowledge of ETL concepts (data movement, validation, scheduling, and monitoring).

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, delivery-oriented mindset.

  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI/data visualization tools.

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery practices.

  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD concepts (e.g., Git, Jenkins, or similar).

  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Prior experience within Financial Services is highly preferred

Work model

  • Location: New York City; hybrid with a minimum of two days per week in office.
