Application Cloud Architect

We are currently looking for a Cloud & Software Architecture Expert to strengthen our Cronos Europa team.

Location: Near-site (accessible within 2 hours from Brussels) – Hybrid

As a Cloud & Software Architecture Expert, you will design and coordinate modern application architectures, support cloud migration initiatives, and act as the technical interface between project leaders and development teams within large-scale European environments.

• Analyse the integration of different information systems

• Design and document software and cloud architectures

• Create architecture blueprints and define building blocks using cloud components

• Review and modernise existing system architectures for cloud migration

• Apply architecture best practices and patterns

• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards

• Design and develop architecture components in microservices environments

• Coordinate the implementation of technical architectures

• Contribute to DevOps practices and continuous integration processes

• Support interoperability using web services, REST APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures

• Ensure performance, scalability, and high-quality standards

• Act as the technical interface between project leaders and developers

• Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and user meetings

• Contribute to testing, deployment, evaluation, and reporting activities

• Produce high-quality technical documentation and architecture deliverables

• Deliver technical presentations when required

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum 3 years of higher education

• Strong knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns

• Strong experience with microservices and cloud-based architectures

• Solid expertise in application design and enterprise architecture

• Experience with modelling tools and business process analysis

• Good knowledge of relational DBMS

• Knowledge of interoperability technologies (web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture)

• Ability to adapt to fast-changing technologies in architecture and design

• Expert knowledge and proven experience (minimum 5 years) with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate

• Expert DevOps experience (minimum 3 years) in continuous integration within microservices-based systems

• Expert knowledge and proven experience (minimum 3 years) with TypeScript, Angular, Node.js

Knowledge of the following technologies would be considered a strong advantage:
Elastic, Git, Oracle, PostgreSQL, REST, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Splunk
