We are looking for an Application Architect to help grow our business and contribute to our future.
The Application Architect position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with teams and stakeholders to shape end-to-end solutions, provide technical direction, and ensure that applications are built with long term sustainability in mind. Reporting to the Principal Solutions Architect, other highlights include:
- Create scalable solutions designs using the Microsoft development frameworks (.NET, C#, ASP.NET Core) and Azure services.
- Define patterns, standards, and best practices to assist developers.
- Develop architectural diagrams, integration patterns, and technical documentation to guide delivery teams.
- Lead modernization and transformation initiatives, including cloud migrations and application re-platforming.
- Collaborate with technical teams to shape DevOps and CI/CD patterns in the organization.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and cost effective.
- Provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Review solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure quality, performance, and security.
- Support development teams by clarifying requirements, resolving technical challenges, and promoting best practices.
- Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate needs into actionable solution designs.
- Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations in a clear and structured way.
- Participate in planning, estimation, and risk assessments to support successful project delivery.
What you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or related field), combined with seven (7) years of experience in Microsoft development technologies. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong experience building solutions with the Microsoft family of technologies.
- An understanding of Azure cloud services and cloud solution design.
- A deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed architectures.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Solid grasp of relational databases, practices, and processes.
- A deep understanding of security principles, including identity, access management, and API security.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns.
- Comfort working in Agile environments.
- Preference given to candidates with Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-204, AZ-400, etc.) and/or Microsoft development certifications.
