Application Architect - Oracle AHCS & Fusion GL Functional SME

The Employee will help our organization to identify and bridge the gap that exists in the business by analyzing the data, scale and support digital transformation initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS) and Oracle Fusion General Ledger (GL) Functional SME to support the design, configuration, and implementation of an enterprise accounting rules engine and Oracle Financials GL platform.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Fusion General Ledger

• Lead global foundation and enterprise structure design activities.
• Define and optimize General Ledger business processes and operating models.
• Design and configure Chart of Accounts, Legal Entities, Ledgers, Ledger Sets, Business Units, and Balancing Segments.
• Design and support end-to-end financial process flows.
• Configure and support intercompany accounting, allocation rules, foreign currency revaluation, and period-end close processes.
• Collaborate with Finance and Controllers teams to align accounting requirements with system capabilities.

Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS)

• Design and configure Event-Based Accounting and Pass-Through Accounting rules.
• Define accounting events, accounting treatments, journal generation logic, and account derivation rules.
• Design accounting and reconciliation data models.
• Define source-system accounting requirements and mapping specifications.
• Support onboarding of multiple source systems into Accounting Hub.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, governance, audit, and control requirements.
• Support reconciliation between source systems, AHCS, and General Ledger.

Banking and Financial Services

• Analyze and document banking business processes and accounting requirements.
• Design accounting treatments for banking products and transactions.
• Support finance transformation initiatives involving regulatory and management reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate financial and operational reporting.

Reporting and Analytics

• Design and support reporting solutions using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Financial Data Intelligence (FDI), and Oracle Smart View.
• Develop financial, accounting, reconciliation, and management reports.
• Support ad hoc reporting and analytical requirements for Finance and Controllers teams.

Testing and Deployment Support

• Participate in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and system configuration.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment.
• Validate accounting results, journal entries, and reconciliation outputs.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and support defect resolution.
• Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer.

• 8+ years of Oracle Financials implementation experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS) experience.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Fusion General Ledger.
• Experience configuring Event-Based Accounting and Pass-Through Accounting in AHCS.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise structures, intercompany accounting, allocations, revaluation, and financial close processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.
• Experience working with Finance, Controllers, and Accounting teams.
• Strong functional design, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with OTBI, FDI (Fusion Data Intelligence), Smart View, and financial reporting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience with large-scale Finance Transformation programs.
• Experience integrating multiple source systems with Oracle Accounting Hub.
• Knowledge of regulatory, audit, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud implementations.
