Application Analyst

Who You Are:
We are seeking a talented and driven Application Analyst to create, modify, and test the code and scripts that allow computer applications to run. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and writing computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop Go scripts in response to ad hoc requests to enhance customer support services.
• Execute Go and Bash scripts to support business-critical processes.
• Contribute to the redevelopment and improvement of TabaPay’s Operations Web Page (Backend).
• Analyze diverse data patterns through database queries and presenting insights through clear, actionable data presentations.
• Query and manipulate data using SQL to support analytical and reporting needs, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights.
• Assist in maintaining and improving backend APIs, ensuring clean design and effective handling of business logic and data flows using Go and SQL.
• Participate in vulnerability assessments using tools such as OpenVAS and assist in researching mitigation strategies for reported vulnerabilities.
• Work with cloud data warehouse, such as Amazon Redshift, to translate raw data into meaningful business intelligence.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support business-critical processes.
• Familiarity with shell scripting such as Bash to perform log analysis for system monitoring tasks.
• Develop, refine, and maintain SIEM platform such as Splunk to detect, analyze, and alert business-critical incidents through correlation searches, alerts, and dashboards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a software application-related occupation
• Position requires at least 1 academic semester of undergraduate-level coursework or some experience in each of the following skills:
  • Utilize knowledge of Go programming language including its core libraries and frameworks to design, develop, and maintain robust backend infrastructure;
  • Utilize knowledge of Java programming language to build high-quality software applications for meeting ad hoc client requests;
  • Utilize knowledge of SQL for data extraction, analysis across large datasets to generate actionable insights using Amazon Redshift;
  • Utilize knowledge of AWS for data monitoring, data extraction, and data storage per business requirements such as AWS S3, AWS RedShift and AWS Workspace;
  • Utilize knowledge of shell scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell for data extraction, and data manipulation to streamline existing processes and improve efficiency;
  • Utilize knowledge of Splunk for monitoring system performance, enabling alert notifications for critical events Building dashboards of varied logs used for PCI 4.0 compliance and audit purposes;
  • Utilize knowledge of Git for version control including branching, merging in a distributed team environment;
  • Utilize knowledge of Vulnerability Scan Analysis for identifying vulnerabilities on internal systems for PCI requirements using OpenVAS tool;
  • Utilize knowledge of REST API to design well-structured, scalable RESTful APIs;
  • Utilize knowledge of HTTP methods for CRUD operations and interpreting standard HTTP status codes for responses;
  • Utilize knowledge of Postman for API development;
  • Utilize knowledge of Selenium to automate frontend application testing for internal company portal.

The base pay for this position is $102,877 - $130,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This position is located in our Palo Alto, CA HQ.
