Purpose of role:
Senior technical leader responsible for governing and
advancing AMP’s Appian platform capability, ensuring high-quality engineering
outcomes through strong design governance, code quality, and release
management. The role provides end-to-end technical leadership across solution
design, development, testing, deployment, and support, ensuring scalable,
secure, and high-performing workflow solutions aligned to business objectives.
The role drives engineering standards, architecture
patterns, and best practices while overseeing integration design, testing
strategies, and quality assurance across the platform. It leads incident
triage, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance
platform stability, resilience, and performance. Working closely with business
stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams, the role ensures
effective translation of requirements into scalable solutions, supports Agile
delivery practices, and maintains strong alignment across digital and
integrated platforms.

Engineering Governance & Quality
o
Lead design (LLD) and code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering standards
and best practices
o
Define and enforce Appian architecture patterns, reusable components, and
design governance frameworks
o
Drive engineering quality, consistency, and maintainability across solutions
•
Delivery & Release Governance
o
Own release governance, including deployment approvals, production readiness,
and risk management
o
Ensure all solutions meet defined quality gates across SIT, UAT, and production
readiness
o
Oversee end-to-end delivery lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, support)
•
Platform Stability & Support
o
Lead incident triage, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution
o
Drive improvements in platform stability, reliability, and operational processes
o
Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
Requirements
Experience and qualifications required
•
7+ years of experience in IT, including 5+ years in Appian development
•
Strong expertise in Appian BPM (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Interfaces)
•
Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP APIs), SQL, and data modelling
•
Proven experience in code reviews, design governance, and release management
•
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and production support models
•
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive technical outcomes
Skills Required
- 7+ years of experience in IT
- 5+ years of Appian development experience
- Strong expertise in Appian BPM, including SAIL, Process Models, Records, and Interfaces
- Experience with REST and SOAP API integrations
- Experience with SQL and data modeling
- Experience conducting code reviews, design governance, and release management
