This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
JOB SUMMARY
As an Application Developer, you will build, maintain, integrate and implement software applications supporting the Supply Chain Planning functional domain. In this role, you will be a member of a product team and will discover and deliver solutions for problems to enable the company's digital future. You will apply knowledge of software configuration and integration to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and robust. You will also contribute knowledge and hands-on experience with modern practices and technologies to the Digital Technology & Data (DT&D) community.
This role is expected to perform with limited supervision and involve moderately complex software application and integration testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new requirements and enhancements. This role will be focused primarily on configuration with the o9 solution set and will be part of a product team dedicated to the overall o9 solution across Cargill's enterprises.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Sets up and maintains the o9 application to meet user and business requirements while developing and recommending improvements to standard and moderately complex application support processes and procedures.• APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs design, analysis, configuration, testing and deployment of configurations, enhancements and at times fixes for the o9 application as required.• USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Keeps an open channel of communication with end users and internal stakeholders and responds to standard and moderately complex application support requests and needs.• APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts advanced and complex application support activities, in conjunction with support team members, to deliver business outcomes.• STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Works with multi-functional teams, including application analysts, product managers, support team and business partners to ensure integrations and configurations align with standards and project goals.• APPLICATION DOCUMENTATION: Ensures configuration and integration processes, settings, rules, filters, etc. are documented and continually updated.• KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT: Maintains and shares relevant technical approaches and modern skills with the o9 solution and its integration options and evolving capabilities.• PROBLEM SOLVING: Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate team members.• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree in a related field• Related work experience• Confirmed experience working with o9 Solutions, knowledge of architecture, configuration and data models• Proven track record of successfully implementing/ supporting o9 in complex business environments.• Experience with various o9 modules (e.g., Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, Sales & Operations Planning) is highly desirable• Excellent documentation skills• Advanced English level
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Experience building Supply Chain applications and implementing Supply Chain software packages (SaaS/PaaS).• Experience with tools like o9 Solutions (OMP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder).• Proven ability to quickly learn new languages and platforms.• O9 Certifications• Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies• SQL (O9 uses a proper language called IBP, similar to SQL)• Dashboard UX creation• Intermediate Spanish level
