Position Summary
We are seeking a technically minded individual who is passionate about software development and helping customers succeed. Part of our product is an external API that our customers use to create innovative integrations that improve their practices and expand on the capabilities that our core product provides. We are seeking an individual to provide technically-focused support to our customers for this API to ensure their projects reach their full potential. This role will also involve interfacing with customers, multiple company stakeholders, and teams to ensure the best support possible throughout the process. This individual will have some background in software development, a supportive personality, and a passion for learning. Our API works across multiple technologies based around C#/.NET and PHP backend services. We want people who can contribute positively to our culture and teach us things we didn't know before.
This role is not just about helping customers though, it is about helping take our API to new levels through improvements, updates, and documentation. Really, we're looking for someone to contribute meaningfully to the API and support experience!
This is a remote position based out of Calgary, Alberta. It will be necessary to be available for an in-person interview or post-interview meeting.
Skills and Experience
- BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
- 1+ years in a customer service role such as help desk or technical support
- 1+ years of professional software development experience in C#/.NET, or a comparable language such as Java
- Intermediate SQL and relational database skills — queries, schema design, transactions, and writing production-safe data migrations
- Experience writing secure code in a data-sensitive or regulated environment, such as one handling PHI, PII, or financial data
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot, and critically reviewing their output rather than accepting it at face value
Preferred Experience
- Experience with technical writing
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Previous experience with agile development methodologies, unit testing with tools like xUnit/NUnit, and code reviews
- Exposure to healthcare or other regulated data environments
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, such as help desk or technical support
- At least 1 year of professional software development experience in C#/.NET or a comparable language such as Java
- Intermediate SQL and relational database skills, including queries, schema design, transactions, and production-safe data migrations
- Experience writing secure code in a data-sensitive or regulated environment involving PHI, PII, or financial data
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot and critically reviewing their output
- Experience with technical writing
