As an API Integration Error Analyst Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with API integrations, error analysis, and automation initiatives that support ASI’s supplier and internal systems. This internship offers exposure to how modern systems communicate and how technical findings are translated into business requirements.
The API Integration Error Analyst Intern will report to Jessica Joyce, Assistant Director, Data Management & Optimizations, and work closely with cross-functional teams across Data, IT, and Operations.
This is a paid internship with an hourly pay rate of $22.00 per hour. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document API error reports across supplier integrations, including business rules and logic.
• Categorize errors by resolution ownership and identify patterns or root causes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate integration and error-handling workflows.
• Create clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in JIRA to support automation efforts.
• Assist with testing, QA, and validation of automated API error notifications.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Familiarity with Web APIs, JSON, and integration concepts through coursework or experience.
• Experience with or exposure to JIRA, Excel, and other collaboration tools (Outlook, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
