API Implementation Manager

Strategic Analytics is a growing team at Arch that has established itself as a driving force in how the business is run. This is achieved through the implementation of real-time predictive analytic solutions that move the company forward. Our track record is 100% adoption of our tools and services. As a Manager on the implementation engineering team, you will develop cutting edge solutions that put analytics at the heart of decision-making. You will work closely with other members of the Strategic Analytics team on high-profile analytics projects that drive business strategies. As a key member of the implementation engineering team, you will extend our capacity to deliver and push the team forward.

Developing and Implementing API Strategy create and maintain API strategy that aligns with the business's overall objectives. This strategy should outline how to enhance existing systems and integrate new ones with external third party APIs.

API Design and Development establish API protocols and standards, develop API architectures, and collaborate with other stakeholders to integrate APIs into existing systems. Develop integrations with internal and external API systems.

API Documentation maintain Confluence documentation for API development processes, code, and revisions
API Security Implement proper security protocols and work with cybersecurity team to address potential threats
Monitoring and Maintenance continuously monitor the performance of APIs, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure that APIs are regularly updatedand maintained.
Stakeholder Communication communicate with various stakeholders, including developers, IT teams, and business leaders, about the role of APIsin achieving business objectives.
Training and Support provide training and support to other team members on how to use APIs effectively. They also provide technical support for any API-related issues.
Vendor Management responsible for managing technical relationships with third-party vendors
Market Research stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the API space, and suggest ways to leverage these trends for the benefit of the business.

• 4+ years of leading software projects
• 4+ years of Python development experience
• 4+ years of API development experience
• Knowledge of Java based applications is a plus
• Experience with Azure Functions is a plus
• Demonstrated experience building APIs to support analytics/research/actuarial functions in an insurance company setting
• Experience with cloud technologies like Snowflake and Databricks
• Familiarity with the MLOps framework
• Exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills
• Comfortable handling ambiguous concepts and breaking down complex problems into manageable pieces
• Resilient problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to different target audiences
• Flexibility – able to meet changing requirements and priorities
• College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent
