For an international organization in New York, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote Senior API Developer - Azure. As Full Remote Senior API Developer, you are responsible for the design, creation, and delivery of a range of supporting APIs and Azure platform elements to support the implementation of a central API system for data synchronization/exchange between data platforms in a hub and spoke architecture model.
Candidates need to be able to work 4/5 hours per day in the normal office hours of New York, US. Example 9AM NY time equals 7:30PM. This role is open for employees and contractors
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, develop, as well as implement RESTful services and APIs;
- Be involved in the development life cycle and perform definition and feasibility analysis;
- Implement, integrate, and document a variety of software platforms through the REST API framework;
- Apply the latest software design techniques and contribute to the technical design of new solutions;
- Modify existing programs, prepare test data and functional specifications;
- Troubleshoot issues and solve problems, identify potential process improvement areas;
- Implement common APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks;
- Write object-oriented, clean, and maintainable code;
- Deliver quality results on time with minimal supervision;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +2 years of experience in a computing environment with multiple programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js etc.);
- +1 year of experience with Azure Cloud portal;
- Proficiency in working with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake is required;
- Familiarity with code versioning tools, like Git, SVN, and Mercurial is required;
- Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools is desirable;
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Purview is a plus;
- Any professional certifications encouraged;
- Fluent in English;
