Summary:
In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert in the areas of drug class evaluation, contract evaluation, and analysis of purchasing data to help drive value for PVP participants and inform strategies to enhance PVP contract offerings. This role will build and foster relationships with key PVP participant sites in developing additional savings opportunities to covered entities through contracting as well as highlighting national best practices.
Responsibilities:
Work with 340B participants to identify areas for contracting and to support practices to promote 340B compliance.
Leverage understanding of provider-based purchasing and operations to identify pressures, shifts, and trends across the nation, resulting in contracting strategies that will help support all 340B CEs.
Support HRSA and Apexus leadership team with operational knowledge on special projects regarding pharmacy practice.
Maintain a high level of subject matter expertise and customer satisfaction to effectively communicate successes and challenges that 340B stakeholders experience to Apexus’ leadership, participant advisory councils, and other stakeholders.
Leverage deep understanding of brand and specialty drug markets to effectively consult and collaborate with internal teams and strategic partners to improve medication cost savings.
Articulate and present drug therapy product cost analysis and market assessments that help identify opportunities for cost savings.
Support contracting teams in developing communications that help covered entities to access 340B products while ensuring alignment with HRSA
Utilize clinical knowledge to support PVP savings strategies by monitoring current guidelines, FDA approvals/pipelines, and ongoing clinical trials to identify opportunities.
Complete analysis of marketplace data to develop clear contracting strategies to support the sourcing teams in their discussions with manufactures.
Qualifications:
PharmD required including active Board of Pharmacy registration
Completed a pharmacy residency preferred (ASHP approved residency); ASHP board certification (e.g. BCPS) desired
7 or more years’ experience with pharmacy supply chain and/or clinical pharmacy required.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word, Excel) is required.
Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
