Job Purpose
- Implementation of Advanced Process Control, advanced solution monitoring and control packages.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Ability to identify the potential areas and benefits for applying Advanced Process Control for various process Units and specify the hardware/software architecture to carry out APC implementation.
- Carry out APC & MVC implementations starting from Control Definition, Functional Design Specifications, Plant Testing, Detailed Engineering, Modeling of Controller and Estimator, Site Integration, SAT, Commissioning, Post Audit and PGTR.
- Multiple project co-ordination and provision of technical support for the successful completion of large APC & MVC projects for various process units.
- Provide advisory and maintenance support including carrying out modifications to the Control strategies to ensure higher APC up time and carry out the required APC training to plant operators & engineers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in the field of Advanced Process Control.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Master’s degree is preferable.
- Hands on experience for commissioning APC Controllers in Refining, Petrochemical and Polymer process units.
- APC implementation experience in Yokogawa APC software PACE would be an added advantage.
Required Competencies / Skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Good leadership skills
- Knowledge of working on DCS platforms
